My Family

I grew up in a modest house built by my mother's father on farmland developed along the BMT Brighton line after the Great War.  My parents, my brother and I lived on the second floor of the house with my grandparents on the first floor.

I was born in 1949, a critical year during the Cold War initiating major changes that are still with us.  The treaty establishing NATO was signed in Washington, DC on the 4th of April, only nine days before my birth in Brooklyn.
